How booking works: nothing to pay to enquire. We start with a quick chat, I send you the terms and a simple contract, and once you're happy you transfer and we get to work. See the steps.
These sessions are built for real life — muddy knees, toddler meltdowns, the dog photobombing every other shot. We find a location that works for your family, and I always build in proper time: these sessions are never rushed. Everyone gets a chance to settle in, relax, and forget the camera's even there. That's when the good stuff happens.
How it works
First, we have a quick planning call. We talk through where we might go, who's coming along, anything you're hoping for, and any ideas either of us is sitting on. Maybe you've got a spot in mind. Maybe you want me to bring a few gentle prompts for the little ones, or you'd rather we just see what happens. We sort all of it before the day, so when it comes round you can turn up and be present, and leave the rest to me.

The stuff worth knowing before you book.
Good. Moving kids make better photos than stiff ones. I work at kid pace — which means we follow them, not the other way around. If someone has a meltdown we stop, regroup, carry on. The mess is kind of the point.
Wear what feels like you, just a notch up from everyday. Soft, warm tones and natural fabrics photograph beautifully, and I'd gently steer you away from big logos or tiny busy patterns, which pull the eye. If you're coordinating a family, pick two or three colours that sit well together rather than matching head to toe. And dress for the weather, because cold, grumpy kids make for cold, grumpy photos. I'm happy to send a few ideas before the day.
Almost everyone says this, and almost everyone forgets about it ten minutes in. You won't be stood stiffly facing the lens. I give gentle prompts and little things to do — walk this way, whisper something daft to each other — so you're busy being yourselves rather than posing. The natural moments in between tend to be the keepers. You don't need to be photogenic. That's my job.
For outdoor sessions, the first hour after sunrise or the couple of hours before sunset give you that soft, golden light everyone loves. With little ones I'll always work around naps and mealtimes first, because a happy toddler beats perfect light every time. For brand and indoor shoots the timing is far more flexible, and we'll settle it on the planning call.
Yes, always. Dogs are family, and some of my favourite shots have a wagging tail in them. Bring a lead and some treats, and ideally a second person who can hold them for the odd photo where they're not invited. We'll make it work.
The Story gives you 30–40 fully edited photos: the whole story of the afternoon. The Whole Day gives you 60–80, start to finish.
For Brand & Content and Events, you get the whole collection: every shot worth keeping from our time together, all edited. I'm not there to hit a number, and I won't cherry-pick a handful and hold the rest back.
There's nothing to pay to enquire, and no payment links on this page. It's a simple three-step process:
1. We chat. Book an intro chat or drop me a message, and we talk through what you're after. No commitment.
2. Terms and a contract. I send you the terms and a simple contract so everything's clear and agreed.
3. You're happy, we go. Once you're happy, you accept and transfer, and we get to work on your date.
Sooner is better, especially for weekends and the warmer months from May to September, which fill up fast. A few weeks' notice is usually plenty for a weekday session. If you've got a date in mind, message me anyway. I sometimes have a last-minute slot, and I'd rather you asked than assumed it was gone.
For outdoor sessions, we reschedule at no charge. A bit of cloud cover makes for better light — it's only heavy rain that's a problem. We'll keep an eye on the forecast together and make the call with a couple of days' notice.
I'm based in Surrey and work regularly across Caterham, Reigate, Redhill, Oxted, Purley, Croydon, and South London. Travel within 30 miles is included in all session prices. Beyond that, we agree a travel supplement in advance — it's never a nasty surprise.
